Exhibit 140

Image
Exhibit 140, which was submitted as evidence in the trial of James Alex Fields consisted of 3 separate videos recorded at 3 different locations on the premises of the Red Pump Kitchen on August 12, 2017. The following map shows the location of the Red Pump Kitchen.  The videos are labeled as "Back Door", "Basement" and "Bar". It is unclear what the significance of the "Basement" and "Bar" videos were in relation to the trial. I skimmed both videos and they appeared to be from fixed cameras inside the Red Pump Kitchen, but did not appear to show anything happening outside (unless I missed it). For the purposes of this post, we are only going to be discussing the "Back Door" video. The "Back Door" video was 37 minutes and 56 seconds long. The following image shows the location of the camera that recorded the "Back Door" video. The camera is circled in red.  T

Exhibit 123 in the State trial of James Alex Fields is a :48 video recorded by Stephen Simalchik on August 12, 2017 on Market Street at 2nd Street, just beyond the Hill and Wood Funeral Home. The video shows a group of Nazis including James Alex Fields marching West on Market Street following the declaration of unlawful assembly. Observed in close proximity to Fields in the video are Mike "Enoch" Peinovich , convicted terrorist Taylor Michael Wilson , John "Johnny Monoxide" Ramondetta and Alex McNabb . Fields can be seen carrying a wooden shield with the emblem for the since rebranded Nazi organization known as Vanguard America . Fields can be seen giving the middle finger to the cameraperson while shouting "Jews will not replace us!" Three still images from the video can be seen below which were also introduced as evidence in the trial as Exhibits 124, 125 and 126.

Below is a still image taken from a video which was entered into evidence in the trial of James Alex Fields as Exhibit 1. The video is 1 minute and 53 seconds long. The video was taken beginning at Water Street and 4th Street, heading North up 4th Street. The perspective of the video is an extreme wide angle. It was likely recorded with a Go-Pro or similar video camera. Several sources of the video can be found online but were posted by Nazis, and therefore I won't be sharing links to the videos. The Nazis refer to this video as the "Stick Girl" video.  At :30 in the video, Fields car can be seen on 4th Street near the newspaper boxes alongside the Union Bank & Trust at the corner of the Downtown Mall crossover at 4th Street.  At :39 in the video, Fields can noticeably be seen reversing his car back over the Downtown Mall crossover at 4th Street. At 1:14, you can audibly hear the screech of Fields' t

The following is a transcription of a story James Fields told to a Magistrate and a Charlottesville Police officer in an interrogation room video entered as evidence in his trial as Exhibit 163 . The Magistrate is behind a glass window, and the police officer is in the room with Fields while Fields tells this story. In the video, Fields voice is emotionless and his face is red.  James Alex Fields: “I was... I saw the two cars. There were two cars down the street and they were trying to leave, and I was trying to leave as well. I had my GPS out. It was on and I was trying to go home. As I was driving down the street I noticed that there was a crowd swarming around the two cars , and I immediately looked back and I got really... a really weird, umm... I don’t know, I’m not sure how to describe the emotion or feeling. (Sniffs) Umm, but, I felt like the people that were behind me were coming at me like they were surrounding the cars that were...
